Hi, I’m Emilie!
I’m an artist from Virginia who’s passionate about bringing inspiration into everything I do and creating pieces that add a little warmth and beauty to spaces. I don’t like to take life too seriously… I like to keep things light, fun, and full of moments that make you smile, and let that energy shine through my art.
I was raised in the Shenandoah Valley and have always had a love for art and creativity. Since I could hold a pencil, I’ve been doodling to my heart’s desire. Creating has always felt very natural to me. It’s joyful, playful, and freeing, without rules or a “right” or “wrong” way to do it. In 2024 I started taking my talent a little more seriously.
Like a lot of artists, the older I got the more I started believing that choosing a more stable path was the safer and more practical option, and pushed my passions to the side. And while that path can work for some, it was discouraging to feel like something you were meant to do is out of reach simply because it isn’t considered “practical.” I let that mindset take away years of practice and peace from me.
In early 2025, I chose to fully pursue my career as an artist. Stepping into the unknown began to feel a lot less scary than imagining waking up years from now with regret. It really was a moment where I realized I owed it to myself to be happy and live a life that felt true to me.
I can safely say now that I have no regrets. I wouldn’t change my decision in the slightest, except maybe doing it sooner. Each day I wake up flooded with ideas and excitement, feeling like the possibilities are endless. I feel healthier and happier than I have in years.
I want my art and experiences to inspire others to follow their hearts and dreams. I know it sounds cliché, but listening to your inner voice, practicing your talents, and feeding your soul with what brings you joy truly matters. We get so caught up in what’s safe, convenient, and practical that we lose sight of the bigger picture. Bigger picture being: that we’re all living on a floating rock, the rules are made up, and it’s possible to be and do whatever you dream of.
Getting to spend my time painting, making prints, designing decor, and adding something beautiful to the spaces of friends, family, and others is a dream come true. I’m incredibly grateful to create for a living, and I hope my art inspires others to choose joy, creativity, and a life that feels true to them.
